Randi S. Sirlin is originally from Philadelphia and grew up in Tucson, Arizona. She attended and graduated from Kingswood High School for Girls, a prestigious college preparatory boarding school in Birmingharn, Michigan. After graduating from high school, Ms. Sirlin returned to Tucson where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona. She studied political science, sociology, English and also did significant coursework in graduate-level philosophy. She became a member of the Political Science Honorary Society as an undergraduate, and although she worked full-time in order to finance her education, she was consistently listed on the honor roll. Ms. Sirlin began her law career in 1989 when she began volunteering at the Pima County Public Defender's Office. From 1989 through 1993, Ms. Sirlin volunteered there in various capacities and also did a student internship, during which time she worked on felony cases. White attending law school, Ms. Sirlin again worked to finance her education. She gained significant experience working as a law clerk for some of Tucson's top criminal and civil attorneys. Ms. Sirlin opened a private practice in Tucson in 1996. Her practice consisted mostly of family law matters and she became proficient in divorce law, including paternity, custody, property settlement, spousal maintenance, child support, grandparent rights and visitation/parenting time issues. In 1990, Ms. Sirlin completed a Family Law Mediation program at the University of Phoenix and thereafter did significant work as a Family Law Mediator. In 2002, Ms. Sirlin moved to the Phoenix area. She returned to the practice of law in 2003 and at that time ran a part-time general practice. During this time she gained experience in employment law, personal injury, and collection matters. Most recently, Ms. Sirlin received a real estate salesperson license. She is interested in expending her practice into the area of real estate. Most of Ms. Sirlin's work at this time is in the area of family law. She also has a strong interest in employment law; especially in the area of discrimination and wrongful termination and would live to expand her practice in the area of general civil litigation as well. When not working, Ms. Sirlin enjoys exercising, snowboarding, white-water rafting and hiking. She also writes poetry, plays the piano and does artwork.
