Meet Korey Bahme, Phoenix Area Attorney
Korey was raised in Florence, Arizona and was the first in her family to pursue higher education. Korey earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Criminology & Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University with a 4.29 GPA, summa cum laude. She did this while working full time in the Physics and Astronomy Department at NAU.
In 2019 Korey earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Korey participated in ASU’s Bar Program and took the Bar exam in her last semester of law school before the majority of her classmates. Korey found out that she successfully passed the bar exam two days after she received her diploma.
Korey volunteered to work for the Arizona Justice Project during her undergraduate career and then the Post-Conviction Clinic during law school. She always kept busy, even working as a restaurant server while pursuing her education. Korey was licensed to practice law and started her career at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office. Korey dedicated her work to tenaciously representing low-income individuals to give back to her community. Korey has advocated for her clients in court nearly every day since she was licensed to practice law.
Korey knows her way around the courtroom and has earned the respect of the legal community in Maricopa County. Korey has been described by colleagues, opposing counsel, and judges as being a strong and zealous advocate for her clients.
Outside of work Korey enjoys spending time with her dogs, fiancé, and friends. You can find Korey on a hiking trail, running, working out, or eating out in restaurants.
